saving leah
On a rural road, an eight-month-old kitten nearly collapsed in front of my car. She was skeletal, dragging her back foot, and infested with mud and bugs. She seemed to be reaching out, pulling herself from a ditch as if pleading for rescue. The next day, I rushed her to the vet, where she stayed for four critical nights. They meticulously cleaned her open wounds, administered antibiotics and fluids, screened for diseases, and tackled the fleas and ear mites.
I named her Leah and when she came home, she had a cone, oral antibiotics, pain medication, and ointment for severe, thumb-length wounds on her stomach and legs. I set up a safe space for her in my office, using a kennel to protect her and keep her separate from my other two cats. With each passing day, she grows stronger. You can see her deep gratitude for life; it's as if she's finally experiencing love for the very first time.
I am looking for a proper home for her, one where she’ll receive plenty of attention. Please contact me if you are interested in her as she will be ready in a week or so.
